01_Tue Tuesday was a long day.  We left the hotel at 8:00 and headed to the Skyline Drive National Park, stopping briefly at the same tourist center on Afton Mountain that we had stopped the day before.  The  traffic was light and we made good time, arriving early at the Big Meadow Lodge, our planned lunch stop.  Since they would not open for lunch until noon, we pushed on up the scenic road. The Main Street Mill tavern in Front Royal, an old grain warehouse, provided an interesting lunch stop.   Our Tuesday focus was a visit with Billy Thompson at his White Post Restoration Shop, an interesting facility where there many cars in various stages of restoration.  The Hill Top Inn at Harpers Ferry was the days destination.
