After a truck'n across America, we arrived in Rosamond, California. Home of edwards Air Force Base and the willow Springs Race Track - "The fastest in the west".  It is a 2.5 mile road course.

Both dan and I drove the car, which performed well; beating 10 of the 12 300SL's that came to race.
We drove through occasional traffic and had a lot of fun in the high desert above LA.
The mountains and snow in the background show the diverse and spectacular scenery.
Some of the 300SL's at the track.
