Jackson, NH - October 9-13

Monday, Oct 9. Arrival, check-in and welcome reception 

Tuesday, Oct . 10. Concours Show in downtown Jackson and a day to enjoy the area. Mt. Washington cog Railroad tour 1:30 ($49 /per person, $39 for children 12 and under; contact Bob for children tickets ) or drive up Mt Washington by 190 SL (free) or modern car ($29; $9 passenger). Chose one option, drive a classic, ride in a modern car or ride the cog railroad. If in doubt, contact Bob Merrell.

Wednesday, Oct 11.  After breakfast we will head driving tours to do the White Mountain region on Wednesday.  It'll include Mt Washington Valley,  Crawford Notch, Franconia State Park with the Cannon Mt tram and the Flume,  and the Kancamaugus Highway.

Thursday, Oct 12 We will be a driving tour to the lakes region, Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake (Golden Pond of the movie), Lunch at the Castle in the Clouds with tour of the "Castle", Mt Views and the Madison Boulder, the largest glacial erratic in North America. 

After the Ball:
Friday, Oct 13
We will depart the Eagle Mountain House on Friday morning October 13, 2017 working our way out of the White Mountains into Maine heading for Ellsworth Maine. We should be in peak leaves the week of the convention and follow peak leaves across Maine to the Maine coast since peak is about a week earlier in the White Mountains than the coast of Maine.

Saturday, Oct 14-5. We will tour downeast Maine and Acadia National Park with a base at the Ramada Inn in Ellsworth. The Ramada is currently closed for the season and will reopen 4/14/17. There is a block of rooms reserved in the name of the club.

Monday, Oct 16.   We will depart Ellsworth and tour historic Castine to Camden.  On the 17th, we'll tour St George Peninsula and Owl's Head Transportation Museum  Head for home on the morning of October 18.

Tuesday, Oct 17.   We will touring the Camden/Rockland area and the Owl's Head Transportation Museum  Check out  and head for home on October 18.

Bill has planned 2 additional days of touring the Maine Coast in addition to the three for a total of up to 5 days for those interested. We will tour over to the Acadia area on Friday, the first day, followed by 2 days touring Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula, the remote part of Acadia. We will then tour down the coast visiting Castine on our way to Camden. A final day of touring will be available in the Camden/Rockport
area visiting the St George Peninsula and Owl's Head Museum of Transportation.
