WinterTech 2014

At the garage of Ellis and Margaret Lovell – Berea, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb. Friday afternoon –April 11th, Saturday the 12th and Sunday morning the 13th.

Ellis’ garage, the host hotel and the airport are all within 5 minutes of each other.

Wintertech 14 registration is $100 each, limited to the first 50. This includes 2 dinners, 1lunch and 2 continental breakfasts. The host hotel is a full service hotel if you desire a full breakfast.

Scheduled:
Friday afternoon, April 11th
1:30 pm – depart hotel for tour of Custom Chrome, a premier chrome plating facility that is often used by Pebble Beach participants.
3:30 – 4:00 pm return to hotel.
5:30 pm Cocktails and dinner – Berea Union Depot Taverne, an authentic 1876 stone railroad station. Cocktails in a beautifully restored 1927 Pullman Car

Saturday, April 12th
9:00 am – Lovell’s garage, coffee and doughnuts
Noon: catered sandwiches and beverages
5:30 pm déjà vu – back to the Depot for cocktails and dinner

Saturday agenda:
- Presentation by US Chemical on the use and application of their many body filler and support products. * USC makes many products for suppliers sold under other names.
- A presentation by GRK, a local company that restores and replaces leather and wood in interesting older cars.
- Presentations on the care, feeding and tuning of Soles and Weber carbs – always helpful for those of us with fading memories.
- A presentation on generators, voltage regulators and the charging system.
- A tour of Berea Automotive Engineering, which had developed a reputation for equipping beautiful older Rolls Royces with Vett power trains. OK, it’s not 190SLs, but you’ll love it!

Sunday, April 13th
9:00 am Coffee and doughnuts for those not departed. General bull session on wine, women and cars. Departure at your leisure..
